We are an NGO working in the area of women Human Rights for more than thirty years . Our secretariat is in Cairo , and we have member NGOs working in all the governorates of Egypt. We implement projects in the areas of women empowerment, gender based violence, education etc.... Our activities include research, training, policy reform , advocacy and awareness raising . We link and cooperate with the government, universities, international agencies, the media and other institutions.
We are advertising a number of jobs which we need to fill for a new project that will start soon and will continue for three years . The project activities will include reforming gender discriminating policies and legislations , providing relevant services to meet women needs and will upgrade the capacity of NGOs , and their level of services. The project will use on line and live meetings to network with different women leaders and citizens in local communities . The following are the posts we need to fill and the terms of reference for each post.
 
  1. General Manager for the Project
 
The manager will be responsible for applying the appropriate knowledge , skills , tools and techniques to efficiently create high work standards for the project and a cooperative team that focuses on achieving results . Will create a sense of belonging and ownership among the team , coach and motivate them . Will establish , defines and delegate roles and responsibilities , supervise the team performance , manage the budget and resource allocation , the documents and the different project processes to achieve its goal and objectives.
 
Detailed duties and responsibilities of the post are :
 
*Build coalitions among stakeholders , facilitate discussions , establish trust, build and uses cross functional relationships to accomplish work objectives .
*Ensure that project status and information are communicated to the project team, stakeholders, all level of management and documented appropriately .
*Periodically review accomplishments and performance of the project team and develop improvements and innovations to achieve project objectives
*Oversees all project activities and be the primary contact point for the project .
*Ensures that project activities comply with the project documents and with the policies of the organization .
*Oversees the development and execution of project deliverables , lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
*Submits activity reports, meetings minutes and financial reports on regular basis as required .
*Oversees the preparation and submission of annual activity based project budgets as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests . Ensure a high level of fiscal control and accountability for project budget .
*Leads and motivate the project team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate work with consultants and volunteers in the project .
*Ensures close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners and guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements .
*Troubleshoots project problems, identifies and implements creative effective solutions.
* Write periodic reports requested by donors
 
Required qualification
*An undergraduate degree in human sciences. A Graduate degree is a plus.
*At least five years experience as project manager in an NGO .
*Excellent Arabic and English writing and speaking.
*working experience with donor/funded projects .
Monthly Gross Salary depends on qualifications and experience , starting from  12000  Egyptian Pounds .
 
 
2. FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER.
 
Will manage all matters relating to the administration and finances of the organisation.  Alongside the projects managers , and under the leadership of the Executive Director Is responsible for compliance with the organizational policies and the Implementation of the strategic direction of the organization work.
 
Specific functions:
 
  1. Planning and Budgeting
 
  1. Ensure that the organisation’s annual budget is prepared and approved by the Board, and that the budget is reviewed quarterly to reflect progress of activities
  2. Monitor the cash flow of the organisation
  3. Plan and manage the organisation’s tax liabilities
  4. Ensure the availability of sufficient cash for programme activities
  5. Review working budgets for programmes to ensure that they comply with the budget allocations and are within the financial parameters of the organisation
  6. As a member of the senior management team, work on budget allocation over different programmatic areas in close collaboration with the projects' managers and the Executive Director
  7. Monitor grant utilisation to ensure that grants are utilised within the grant period; see extensions for those grants that cannot be utilised during the contract period.
 
  1. Financial and administrative management: 
 
  1. Ensure that the administrative, financial, and governance procedures of the organisation are in keeping with all legal requirements .
  2. Be responsible for keeping the Finance and Administrative Manual of the organisation up-to-date and relevant
  3. Manage the finances of the organisation according to its financial policies and agreed guidelines and contracts entered into with donors
  4. Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all incomes and expenses
  5. Monitor the organisation’s financial position and advise the Executive Director and the Board of steps to be taken to ensure financial stability and sustainability
  6. Ensure the timely filing of audited accounts, annual returns and tax returns
  7. Ensure that donor reporting is carried out in a timely manner
  8. Support the fundraising activities of the organisation in collaboration with the Executive Director and project managers.
 
3.  Personnel management: 
 
  1. Advise and support the Executive Director and the projects managers with matters relating to personnel management, staff recruitment, staff appraisals, staff development etc. to ensure that all legal regulations and the organization policies are complied with and that Its feminist values and principles are incorporated into the personnel management processes
  2. Ensure that personnel files are maintained, and that personnel records,  insurance etc. are up to date. 
 
4.  Programme Management:
 
  1. Work with the projects' managers and the executive director to ensure clarity regarding the financial and administrative components of all programme activities
  2. Ensure that all programme activities are in accordance with the proposals and contracts entered into with donors
  3. Ensure timely submission of narrative reports for funders together with relevant financial reports
  4. Ensure that the organization is able to provide adequate logistical arrangements for all activities carried out by the Programme team.
 
5.  Governance
 
  1. Act as Secretary to the Board of Directors and to the Advisory Committees , maintain minutes and records of meetings and policy decisions made at the meetings of the Board and of the Advisory Committees  and ensure follow-up and implementation in collaboration with the Executive Director. 
 
 
Person specification
 
  1. Good professional finance and accounting qualifications
  2. A minimum of six years of experience in financial management, with at least three years in a senior position with similar responsibilities
  3. Commitment to the advancement of women’s human rights
  4. Good command of the Arabic and English language
  5. Integrity
  6. Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Experience of working with multicultural colleagues and groups
  8. Adaptability to different circumstances and a fast-paced environment
  9. High Proficiency in Excel and accounting packages
  10. Work experience in the not-for-profit sector
 
 
Starting monthly salary L.E.7000
 
  1. IT Specialist
We are  seeking a diligent IT Specialist to take care of all our IT needs. You will be responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support issues.
To be successful as an IT Specialist, you should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies. Top candidates will also have an amiable personality, and an aptitude for customer service.
IT Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Installing new software and hardware components.
  • Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
  • Assisting with network administration tasks.
  • Ensuring data storage is safe and secure.
  • Resolving all issues co-workers have with their IT systems and software.
  • Educating co-workers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of our computer network.
IT Specialist Requirements:
 
  • Degree in computer science or related field.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication ability, both written and verbal.
Starting salary L.E.7500 /monthly
