As part of the implementation of the Egyptian Feminist Union (EFU) in cooperation with Plan International to the “Safe cites led by girls” project; and as the project aims at enabling the EFU’s members Civil society organizations provide platforms, network, and resources to enhance the participation of youth to advocate for gender equality and girls’ safety;  
EFU is announcing the following consultancy job vacancy:
Trainer to conduct 5 days training workshops for CSOs in Alexandria and Assiut; on organizational development and how to include youth in decision making.
The training sessions should focus on:
1.    Designing strategies, and campaigns
2.    Advocacy and initiatives with youth.
3.    Aligning organizational structure to strategy.
4.    Skills: Time management, Communication & Team Work, official correspondents (emails and paper ones) writing, proposals writing, and developing work plans.

Training start dates:
•    16 June 2019 in Alexandria.
•    23 June 2019 in Assiut

Egyptian Feminist Union:
-    EFU as an umbrella of a network of 300 Egyptian NGOs seeks to coordinate efforts of different bodies and groups to create a societal awareness that believes in equality, social justice, human dignity, and respects for human rights of all citizens particularly women. It works with different organizations to enable women to practice their human rights and ensure their participation in formulating public policies, suggesting legislations, and achieving equality and democracy. EFU work includes activities that range from researches, lobbying, advocating, training, and implementing services.

Background of Girls lead on Safer Cities:
-    Overall aim: 
Adolescents and youth, and particularly girls and young women, take collective action to contribute to gender equality, girls’ safety in cities and have a greater voice in public decision-making at all levels.
-    The main Objectives 
o    The participating youth groups gain the essential skills and have access to resources and spaces to meaningfully engage in decision making at various levels. 
o    Groups of adolescent girls and boys (age 13 to 24 years) are supported by their families and communities to contribute to change social norms around safety and participation of girls in cities.
o    Government authorities at local, district and national level strengthen the policy framework on girls’ safety and participation in cities.

-    Implementation of the project covers: 1- East Alexandria, and Montazah in Alexandria. 2- Al Kossia, Zarabi Al Kossia, Abo teeg, El Arbaeen in Assiut.
