Organisational development and how to include youth in
Decision-making  
Objectives:
EFU secretary and member NGOs aim at achieving the following:
1.  Undertake the role of speaker and defender of women basic human rights.
2.  Conduct researches and studies about women’s issues and problems, disseminate the study’s results and seeks solutions to these problems
3. Coordinate the efforts among its members and between them and other different associations and bodies interested in women’s rights.
4.    Upgrading the capacities of its member NGOs to improve their performance in meeting community needs.
5.  Create a database that includes associations and organizations that work in the area of women’s cause.
6. Raising public awareness of basic human right, particularly in relation to women.
Background of Girls leads on Safer Cities:
Overall aim:
Adolescents and youth, and particularly girls and young women, take collective action to contribute to gender equality, girls’ safety in cities and have a greater voice in public decision-making at all levels.
 
The main Objectives of the project:
 
Objective 1: The participating youth groups gain the essential skills and have access to resources and spaces to meaningfully engage in decision making at various levels.
Objective 2: Groups of adolescent girls and boys (age 13 to 24 years) are supported by their families and communities to contribute to change social norms around safety and participation of girls in cities.
Objective 3: Government authorities at local, district and national level strengthen the policy framework for girls’ safety and participation in cities.
 
  1. Project Location
The project will be implemented in two Egyptian Governorates; Alexandria and Assiut in addition to the aligning the two cities with Cairo, where Safe Cities is operating as well as influencing and advocacy at national level lace.
Alexandria,
Implementation will cover
Communities (1) East Alexandria, and (2) Montazah
Districts (1) East Alexandria, and (2) Montazah
 
Assiut,
Implementation will cover
Communities (1) Al Kossia, (2) Zarabi Al Kossia (3) Abo teeg (4) El Arbaeen
Districts (1) Al Kossia, Zarabi Al Kossia,
(2) Abo teeg (3) El Arbaeen.
 

B. The overall objective of the training:
 
  • Support active participation and listening, an unqualified attitude, and continuous participation in all stages of the process (in planning, decision-making, follow-up).
  • Discussion of youth issues and their questions within the organization.
  • How to make your own decision by planning, designing and balancing strategies and initiatives.
 
 
C. Tasks and responsibilities
 
  • The training days will be 10 days (5 days in Alexandrea and 5 days in Asuuti)
  • The training will cover the following subjects:
 
  • Develop strategies, campaigns, advocacy and initiatives with youth.
  • Aligning organizational structure to strategy.
  • Obtaining: Time management skills, Communication & Team Work skills, writing Official correspondents (emails and paper ones), Writing proposals, Preparing work plans.
 
 
4. Participants
 
  • CSOs member of EFU federation existing members in Alexandria and Assiut.
 
 
  1. The training outputs:
 
  • The participant of the organizations will be able to implementation campaigns, advocacy and initiatives with youth in your Environments.
 
D. Professional Skills and Experience
  • Experience with aligning organizational structure to strategy
  • In-depth understanding of Develop strategies, campaigns, advocacy and initiatives with youth.
  • processes and systems
  • Change management skills and experience
  • Experience with working with NGOs/Civil society
 
 
13. Payment terms
The fees of training will be pay after the finish the training and submitting the report.
 
Timeline
  • The deadline for proposal submission is 20 May 2019
  • The first training in Alexandre will start by. 26 May 2019.
  • The second training in Asuuti will start by 16 June 2019.
  • The training report should be finished after 5-day work in the training.

- Up to date CV/resume.
-       Technical proposal (max. 4 pages) outlining the proposed approach and relevant experience.
-       Financial proposal.
